Betsy Brayley
Assistant Director
“Betsy”, as she is known in camp, has been with Alford Lake since the summer of 1996 as a staff person. Her first actual connection with ALC was as a parent starting during the summer of 1991. She worked part time in the ALC winter office during the winter of 1995 and Bets spent her first summer as Ranger Coordinator and then moved to full time with ALC after the summer of 1996. She became Assistant Director during the winter of 2004. Betsy spent her years before children in the corporate world working for a large insurance company. She then began her career as a mom of four and was a ‘stay-at-home mom’ until she started working full time for ALC. In recent years, she served as a volunteer on the Pediatric floor at the local hospital, has been a member of the Musica de Filia women’s singing group, and is a past member of the ACA New England Conference Program Committee. Her expertise and interest is in character development with staff and campers; empowering communication skills among ALC’s leadership group and the camp community; working with Sr. CT’s, staff, campers, and camper families. Her contributions are many and her wisdom is a gift to us all!
